Potential applications include retail displays, dividers, signage and formed packaging. Food-contact, medical and protective applications require grade-specific documentation and application review.
PETG Procurement Checklist
- Material: specify the grade if known, thickness, dimensions, colour, surface finish and masking.
- Formed parts: include drawings, part depth, minimum finished wall thickness, surface requirements and trimming details.
- Service conditions: state indoor or outdoor exposure, cleaning agents, contact materials and any project-specific requirements.
- Acceptance: agree visual and dimensional criteria, sample requirements and the documents needed before ordering.
- Delivery: state quantity, destination and schedule; confirm MOQ, packing, production and transport timing in the written quotation.
Can one forming setting be used for all PETG sheets?
No. Confirm preparation, drying and forming conditions for the selected grade, thickness and process. Include the intended part geometry when asking for fabrication guidance.
Is every PETG sheet suitable for food-contact or medical use?
No such suitability should be assumed from the material name alone. These applications require documentation for the selected grade and review of the intended use.
