UL 752 Ballistic Ratings Explained – Level 1 to Level 8 for Polycarbonate

UL 752 Levels

  • Level 1: 4 shots, 9mm handgun – ~8mm PC
  • Level 2: 4 shots, .357 Magnum – ~12mm PC
  • Level 3: 4 shots, .44 Magnum – ~15mm PC
  • Level 4: 1 shot, .30-06 rifle – ~20mm PC
  • Level 5: 1 shot, 7.62mm rifle – ~25mm PC
  • Level 6: 5 shots, .357 Magnum – ~30mm PC
  • Level 7: 5 shots, 5.56mm rifle – ~40mm PC
  • Level 8: 5 shots, 7.62mm NATO – ~50mm PC

Typical Applications

  • Banks, post offices: Level 1-3
  • Jewelry stores, cash rooms: Level 3-4
  • Armored vehicles, embassies: Level 5-8
