Clear cell-cast acrylic (PMMA) panels are an option for highway noise-barrier projects where transparent sections preserve visibility and daylight. River People lists the RP-NS-GS cell-cast series in its noise-barrier range. The panel and support system are selected for the project rather than from appearance alone.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Specify the complete barrier
- Provide panel height, width, clear span, quantity and mounting drawings.
- State the design wind load, support conditions, location and installation environment.
- Define acoustic objectives and the test documentation required for the complete construction.
- Identify requirements for visibility markings, fragment retention, weathering and fire classification.
Thickness, dimensions, surface finish and available construction must be confirmed in the written quotation. This page makes no specific acoustic rating, certification, stock or price claim.
Highway application review
Coordinate panel edges, joints, posts and foundations with the barrier designer. Gaps and mounting details affect the installed result. Agree handling, cleaning and replacement access before installation. Retention and bird-visibility features are separate options requiring specification and review.
